Biography

I'm Jessica Bateman RP, a person-centred psychotherapist pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. With a background in using an existential phenomenological approach to art therapy for those in assisted facilities and those experiencing grief and loss.

I am equipped with various verbal techniques, including cognitive behavioural therapy, to support adults and youth dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation. My approach to therapy involves working collaboratively with individuals to identify their strengths and empower them to live authentically.

Why the Willow Tree?

The willow reminds me that strength and flexibility can exist together. With roots firmly grounded, its branches adapt to the winds around it while remaining connected to its foundation.

My work reflects this same balance: creating a steady, supportive space while adapting to each person's unique journey. Like the willow standing beside the water and offering shelter beneath its branches, I strive to walk alongside others as they reconnect with their own resilience and growth.
